Date Format

I am having a couple of issues with dates in an ApEx 2 application.

I am trying to display dates in UK format using a date picker with a dd/mm/yyyy format mask. When dates are entered they appear correctly but when changes are applied in the app., dates are then displayed in the default DD-MON-YY format.

My second problem is that some dates are being interpreted as 0007 rather than 2007 although they appear to be in the same format when displayed. Please see below
