datafile deleted - how can i sweep it from database ?

chawoJan 31 2012 — edited Jan 31 2012
hello,

i'm running an Oracle database on Linux (11.2.0.3)

due to some mistakes i stuck in a strange situation:
a tablespace was created in a database that was not needed. due to some misunderstandinss we now have the problem that the datafile itself was deleted on OS Level and cannot be restored.

how can i delete this tablespace without haveing that datafile ?

it would be easier to find a possibility to "fix this" - means to clear the database from this tablespace than rebuild the complete database.

are there possibilities to do this ?

thanks a lot for your input...!
