So Oracle have invested a lot of time and effort in technologies such as data guard to ensure efficient and consistent replication of databases. I have been asked to look into byte/block level replication between a production and standby SAN.
Does anyone have experience of such a solution, to my mind this may end up in inconsistent standby database data files.
Any thoughts appreciated.
