i couldnt make the database start and the enterprise manager is down too. i have found my casein metalink but its solution is designed to proceed in enterprise manager, but i couldnt even open it!
the doc id in metalink is : Note:337258.1
i am having the exact errors as specified in this document when type alter database open:
ORA-16038: log one sequence 3144 cannot be archived
ORA-19809: limit exceeded for recovery files
ORA-00312 online log 1 thread 1 <path to redo log file>
and the solution pointed in the document is :
1. Change retention policy to redundancy =1
EM ==> CONFIGURE BACKUP SETTINGS ==> RETENTION POLICY
2. Run delete obsolete job:
EM ==> MANAGE CURRENT BACKUPS ==> DELETE ALL OBSOLETE
but i cant reach these gui in enterprise manager its down! i have to apply these through sqlplus, but i dont know how to do, the name of parameter of retention policy or the job .
i would be glad if somebody help me with sql command of these.
any help would be appreciated.
