HI,
I have oracle 10g install on linux system. i take cold backup of my database using
sql> shutdown immediate
and then copy all files to any other location.
but when i start my database it gives me error like

i have seen this happen sometime after cold backup database give errors. is taking cold backup of database is not safe.
Please suggest.
