964034Apr 3 2013 — edited Apr 10 2013
Hi Guru's,

Oracle database version is 10.2.0.3.0 and operating system is 64 bit Linux:-
We are facing some connectivity issue since last 1 month. Client is getting database continuous disconnected issues.
As a dba, we do the following:-

1) Check the alert log file of database, startup time of database.
2) Check the listener log and sqlnet logfile for errors.

This we do at our end and the issue is not getting resolved. Can you pls help me as a dba what can be done more, I have heard about client/server side tracing. Never implemented before. But when checking the listener log and alert logfile of database , we are not able to see any error's . While going through sqlnet.orafile on server side we are getting these following errors for 25 mar-13.

TCP/IP NT Protocol Adapter for Linux: Version 10.2.0.3.0 - Production
Time: 25-MAR-2013 09:01:06
Tracing not turned on.
Tns error struct:
ns main err code: 12637
TNS-12637: Packet receive failed
ns secondary err code: 12532
nt main err code: 0
nt secondary err code: 0
nt OS err code: 0

Kindly guide me gurus , give your thoughts and inputs on this .
Thanks once again in advance for helping/giving your precious time on same .
