Database cloning using Actio and data guard

Hi - I have a requirement to make a copy of a DB(Prod DB) using cloning method and restore the same in target DB for reporting purpose on weekly and monthly basis. We have options to make use of Actio and data guard for cloning purpose. Here am trying to understand whether we have cons in using Actio when comparing with data guard,also can you suggest which would be the best option to clone the database.
