Database clone

Hello,

1) Correct me if i am wrong:

Difference between restoring a database and cloning a database:

--Restoring a database doesn't involve recovery and does not change DBID. Cloning a database involves recovery and
changes DBID. Am i correct?

2) Is there any way to find out whether the database is actually cloned or not?
