Database block corruption

KirushnaJun 1 2017 — edited Jun 14 2017

Dear All,

My Env - 11i with 9.2.0.8 database.

We are working on upgrade to R12.2 with Database 12.1.0.2. As part of database upgrade we are upgrading to 11.2.0.4 as an intermediate upgrade to achieve 12c database.

After upgrading to 11.2.0.4, verified the database using RMAN >> validate check logical database. corruptions were listed on 3 datafiles - queue02, 03 & 04

pastedImage_0.png

Tried to verify if block exists in source - 9.2.0.8 using RMAN>> backup validate check logical database; (472231.1) the corruption was not listed.

How to double check if block is corrupted or not in 9.2.0.8?

How to find the root cause of this corruption?

Kindly share your inputs to proceed further.

Regards,

Kirushna
