Data Streams setup: ORA-01374

Hi,
Followed the datastreams document to setup simple replication On Solaris 8 , oracle 9204. While starting the capture process i am getting this error message

ORA-01374: log_parallelism greater than 1 not supported in this release

Even though my log_parallelism = 1. Exactly followed the document.

HELP PLEASE!!!
