Data_pump_dir Ownership issue

yxes2013Aug 30 2013 — edited Aug 30 2013

Hi all,

11.2.0.1cho

Aix 6.1

I am still can not resolve the issue of EXPDP datapump dir permission. Pleaseeee help.

I have a aix user "batchuser" who is not a dba. I created a new BATCHPROD_DIR as  /u01/batchuser. In order for the users "batchuser" and "oracle" to write to this directory I chmod it 777. When "batchuser" runs expdp program, it will create the output "expdat.dmp" to this directory but the owner is "oracle.dba" since expdp is an oracle owned exe. So what happened is "batchuser" can not access his own output. Can you share me what tricks did you do for this issue? Do I need to include "batchuser" as dba which depletes the security purpose of not able to connect / as sys?

Thanks a lot,

zxy
