Hi,
I've installed data modeler 64bit (latest version to download) on windows 7 64bit ultimate. I installed the latest SDK so it would run and pointed it to the java.exe in the SDK folder. I received a warning message that anything above Java 1.7 was not supported (as I do with SQL developer). I clicked on ok and the requester to select a java.exe just shows again and again.
I've tried installing and selecting java.exe from jdk1.6.0_45\jre\bin and also jdk1.6.0_35\jre\bin but the same happens.
I've also tried installing the 32bit data modeler, which include the sdk, but that fails to start looking for a missing MSVCR71.dll.
As I have no logs to go on I have no idea what going wrong. Can anyone suggest what i can try on the 64bit version and why it keeps looping back the requester. I haven't tried putting on MSVCR71.dll for the 32bit version (will try tommorow), but would prefer to get the 64bit version working. Any ideas?
