data migration between windows and linux

Nimai_KarmakarNov 26 2013 — edited Dec 3 2013
Hi friends and geeks...

I have a physical standby server on windows server 2008 (64 bit) with oracle 10.2.0.4 installed on it ... Now

1. I want to migrate the db from this windows server to linux server with same version of oracle. So, other than using traditional exp method for migration can we use (RMAN duplicate target db) online migration (without any downtime as it's a production server) it would be helpful if you can provide a link.
2. and can it be possible that we migrate from windows sever 64-bit to linux server 32-bit.
3. Can we use oracle golden gateĀ  from the standby server to this linux production box
it would be helpful if you can provide a link
.

I have goggled it and got some doc but according to the doc it's using downtime.

please ask if you need some more clarification.

Thanks & Regards

Nimai Karmakar
