Data Guard Observer: OK to install on OEM CC server?

CWFNetmanJul 7 2014 — edited Jul 8 2014

I've been around Oracle databases for many years, but am new to Data Guard. I have have just successfully set up my two new 12c database servers (on Windows 2012) and installed Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c on a Windows 2012 virtual machine, created my blank, empty new database on the primary server, and used OEMCC to create a physical standby on the secondary database server. So far, so good... all that is working as intended. The application vendor is now wanting me to enable Fast-Start Failover which means I need to install the Data Guard Observer on a machine somewhere. Is there some reason why I cannot / should not install the DGO on my OEMCC Server itself?
