Data Converstion Through ODI

Hi All,
I am new to ODI.Here are some of my questions.
1.I need to do data conversions like(Customer conversion,Item Conversion etc) using ODI.Can anyone provide me details with simple conversion i,e from any .CSV file to any oracle base table.

2.Can we get the base tables in oracle apps as target table in ODI when Creating DataStore?

3.What is the purpose to create Schema for each Technology?

Please provide me the details as soon as possible.....
