Oracle 19c installation on Windows 10 fails with INS-35180 (Unable to check for available memory)
OS: Windows 10 22H2 (8 GB RAM)
Oracle version: 19c (WINDOWS.X64_193000_db_home)
Install type: Server class, Advanced installation
User: Windows built-in account
Issue:
Installer consistently fails at “Specify Configuration Options” step with:
INS-35180: Unable to check for available memory
Tried:
- Desktop class + Server class
- Typical & Advanced installation
- AMM enabled / disabled
- Manual SGA/PGA
- setup.exe -ignorePrereqFailure
- TEMP redirected to C:\Temp
- WMI running
Details show CVU/WMI execution failure (exectask.exe).
Question:
Is this a known Oracle 19c CVU installer bug on Windows?
Is software-only install + DBCA the recommended workaround?
