cvsignore ingnored

I have created a .cvsignore file in my main folder to exclude some folders from synchronizing (classes, build, dist). I think the CVS extension isn't taking this in mind because I see the files as candidates for addition.

My Tortoise Client shows them grayed out so I guess I have correctly created the ignore file.

Is the cvsignore feature implemented in the CVS extension?
