custom schema files and x-origin

Hi

While extending the schema through ldif files, I observe the following behaviour. I do not know if this is right.

When I add entries to 99user.ldif file with X-Origin = 'user defined', the entries are available in the lower section in console where it can be modified. I'm sure this is right.

When I add entries to 98my.ldif file with X-Origin = 'user defined', the entries are available in the lower section in console where it can be modified. Will the 99user.ldif file be updated with the new entry?? I don't see that happening.

When I add entries to 98my.ldif file with X-Origin = 'some other user defined', the entries are available in the upper section in console where it can not be modified. Is this correct?? By the way, I want my own ldif file (other than 99user) to keep my schema separate.

In what cases would the 99user.ldif file be updated?

regards
Sikka
