Custom position for an item

Hi Experts

I have a select list and I need have it at custom position(to the right of the serch bar of interactive report)
I tried <div style></div> under html form element attribute but does not seem to be working
I'm using apex 3.2
I'm not even sure if this is possible.
Is there a way to do this?

{div style="width:150px;height:150px;position:absolute;left:100px;top:300px}
