I have created some custom KMs when installing our ODI. As a next step in our ODI installation, I wanted to move to the latest recommended patch. I installed the patch and I had to reseed a lot of things and upgrade the repository as well.
After going back into ODI Studio, my custom KMs did not work anymore (most of them had at least 1 task whose code was not interpreted anymore, so the output showed <$ ... $> instead of the "real" code it should generate)
I opened a SR with Oracle and they replied that this is normal: custom KMs are not upgraded and I needed to create a new KM based on a upgraded KM
This seems very odd to me as this would mean that, after each patch, I need to re-create a bunch of KM AND modify my mappings to use these new KMs... I am pretty sure that my KMs should continue working after a patch, besides maybe a small fix I need to do myself.
Can anyone confirm this?
