Cursor Focus on an Item modified by EXT JS

Hello,

I have to Focus Cursor on the first Item of the page, however the Item is modified by EXT JS, therefore when I do it the usual way (set it in Display Attributes) it does not work...

Is anybody have experience with EXT JS in relation to APEX? Please let me know how it is possible to Focus Cursor in this case? Probably with Java Script??

At the same time, I would like to add a background color to this item.
