Currenty Symbols using FML formatting mask in Apex.oracle.com

Ronnie_in_CraigavonFeb 15 2012 — edited Feb 15 2012
Hi there Everyone,

I've noticed that while working with a demo app on apex.oracle.com the application globalization settings aren't working (or malfunctioning) in regards to currency symbol.

I've made up a (publicly accessible) demo page that shows what the problem is.

http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=CURRENCY_SYMBOL

I'm summary, I'm using the formatting prefix FML to obtain the currency symbol that is unique to the Application Language, however, for EN-GB I'm getting a dollar symbol as opposed to a Pound Symbol (£).
(I would expect EN-GB to be a Pound Symbol, EN-IE to be a Euro Symbol etc.)

I've also reviewed a similar forum post here: 4066563 and I believe that what I'm doing is correct.

Can anyone identify what the problem is?

Regards-

Ronald M.
