Curious About Freelancing

Hello I just had a few questions about freelancing. I'm not sure if this is the right place if not then I do apologize. I would like to develop software for clients. Can anyone tell me about "Java Freelancing" or guide me to any resources that will teach me about it . How does it work? What is the best way to find clients? How much should I charge? etc...any information about this would be appreciated!
