crossover cable for interconnect

Hi,

Can i use a cross over cable as an interconnect between 2 nodes in a oracle 10g rac installation. Or do i need a switc between the 2 nodes.
Also,

I dont have SAN, i am planning to share the SCSI disks between the 2 server running windows. Will this work?
