Credit Card Transactions through java

Hi everybody,
I don't know whether this thread should be posted here or not. If not please redirect me to the correct forum. My question is whether we can do credit card transactions through our J2EE application? Whether any third party software is available freely that can be integrated to our application (JSP page) through which the user can do online payment using his credit/debit card?
