Creating Reports with JasperReports

hello guys,

i need to generate some different reports (pdfs) in my apex application. I read about using jasper reports in different forums, so i tried to use it for my reports.

I set up jasperreports-server verion 6.1 with bundled tomcat and postrge installation. Everything worked fine and i can log into the web interface of my reportsserver. I created also a testreport with the iReportDesigner.

But now I dont know whats the next step.

How I load/put the file into my server? Which file im needing, .jasper or .jrxml ?

And how to call the report from apex/oracle? Do i have to install some packages or something?

Im using oracle database 11g2 with EPG and apex version 4.2.6 on openSUSe 13.2.
