Creating objects in iFS and commit

Hi,

If I create an object in iFS, and if I have only single operation to do at a time, do I need to explicitely start a transaction and commit or rollback accordingly ?
Even if I don't start any transaction and commit, iFS is automatically commiting it. Is it ok if I dont enclose in transaction, would it always commit it, or is it possible that this behaviour could be changed. or, is it mandatory to enclose in transaction..

Could you please let me know about this.
