Creating Hierarchies on Direct Database Requests

Hi,

Can anyone help, I have issued a direct database request in answers and am presenting the results in a pivot table. I would like to incorporate a drill down hierarchy across some items. This is normally defined in the business model, how can this be acheived with a direct database request.
