Creating a Table with Column with "Optional Functionality"

Dj SteeleNov 3 2017 — edited Dec 16 2017

Hello,

I'm Trying to accomplish a task  of Creating a Table  "Transactions" with 8 columns  (ID, Type, Transaction_Number, Transaction_Date, Payee_Desc, Amount, Balance, Account)

On the Second Column "Type" Need to have a Data Type with "OPTIONAL FUNCTIONALITY"  (I.E. Be able to Select, Update, Delete Insert;  Type: Checking, Type: ATM,  Type:  EFT,  Type: Deposit, Type:  Withdrawal, Type:  Debit Card , Type: Credit Card.....etc)

Basically to be able to Choose the "Type of Transaction)

On the Last Column Trying to accomplish the same thing:  "Account"  (Which Account)  Checking, Savings, Etc...

and on the  Column "Balance"  to do a Virtual Column to Calculate Balance after Type of Transaction and into or out Which Account

Being Fairly New to SQL & PL/SQL  I appreciate any help

Thank You
