Creating a Dictionary managed TableSpace, with DBCA

454226Sep 20 2005 — edited Sep 21 2005
Hi All:

Iam trying to import few dumpfiles from Oracle 8i to 9i.
I created a new DB in 9i and started running the import. But, encountered this error:

ORA-12913: Cannot create dictionary managed tablespace.

This is because I guess the SYSTEM tablespace itself is locally managed and thus it is not allowing me to create dictionary managed Tablespaces.

Can I anyway alter the system tablespace from local to dicitonary managed???
When I create the DB with DBCA, it is by default creating the SYSTEM tablespace as locally managed...

Can anyone help???
Thanks!
