After installing oracle 12c 2 times and uninstalling as typical installation I 'm having an issue possibly signing into sql plus as SYS AS SYSDBA. Having a couple of question signing into oracle with passwords.

At the end of my first install at password management. I am not sure if I should change the password for system & sys or leaving it as the default password MANAGER. Bring this up. Could this be a possible issue.

The first time signing into sql plus as SYS AS SYSDBA using the password I created when installing. Going to Database Configuration Assistant to start database.

When beginning to write the Database after signing in as SYS AS SYSDBA. At SQL> CREATE USER ...... IDENTIFIED BY .... For purposes I left the user name and password out. At the next line I get the this error message. Line 1: ORA 00922: missing inviald option. Not seeing user was created successfully. After substituting my adminstartive passwords created during the installation and the other at Database Configuration Assistant . Erorr message pressists. The second time I installed at the last dialog box I tired to copy and paste the URL from the EM Database Express URL https://localhost:5500/em into my browser to sign into oracle with user name and password. Instead recieving an error message for internet explorer. Internet explorer is working.

I am a newbe. I've tried to be decriptively as possible. Not undertsanding why I can't start the database. I am not sure if I skiped something or left left anything out. I installed Oracle a second time on my machine and all I've done so far. If anyone can please help. Thank you.
