We would like to have the ability to create a work order from a template when generating a work order from a service call or as follow-up work order from an existing work order. This functionality currently exists for Work Requests.
Our end users create the majority of their work orders via templates. This allows for greater consistency with our data and easier reporting of metrics to senior leadership.
When creating a work order from a template for a service call or follow up work order, they must copy the record ID of the initial service call or work order, locate the template work order they want to use, create the work order from the template, and finally add the record ID of the service call or work order into the originating service call/work request or origination work order field.
