DB: 10.2.0.5
OS: HPUX
We have realized the performance for a schema is better with gathering statistics with sample size 100% and I would like to schedule it.
I know there is a automatic job in the maintenance window, but the sample size is auto, and I don't want either the change the sample size for all the database.
So I think the only way is to schedule a new gather statistics for this schema with sample size 100%
What is the best way to do it?
- If I create a job it will gather statistics every day even it's not necessary and the statistics are still valid
- Can I create a new scheduler job using the maintenance window, or a new one, and just gather when need it?
