I have seen a number of threads on this but no killer answer.

We would like to build up a document, in HTML DB, to be printed, either as a pdf or a word doc. Print formatting is important as it is a legal contract.

I have seen fpdf.org which has a php class that can build up a pdf but I am not sure how to integrate that with HTML DB.

I note also that if my customer was using Word/Office 2003 we could build up an xml document readable by word 2003. However the company I am working for has licenses for Office 2000 only.

There is no budget allocated for costly third party solution - so only HTML DB can be used.

So, it looks like a free pdf building solution is the most likely candidate.

Has anyone done this, or can point me to some sample code, demos?
