Create Audit Information Region

Hello:

I want to create an area on my page which contains audit information similar to that of page 3 of the Asset Manager packaged application.

I copied the page over to my application and made the necessary modifications to represent my information. When I attempt to update or create a record, the information for the audit does not get updated. The Updated By and Created By show ANONYMOUS as the user rather than the actual user who is logged in.

I've explored every link on page 3 of the Asset Manager to see how the user information is being captured and stored in the table using the user login. I can't seem to find it. All I'm able to find is the actual database column name from the table. I do not see any reference to the page knowing who is logged in.

I'm not sure if this makes a difference. Column1 and Column2 are both set as primary keys.

Can someone help me?
