Create application which can be used in poor network connectivity

Hi..,

I am trying to create web based application which can be operated in the conditions such as: poor network connectivity and a huge amount of data which will be retrieved. I want to know the posibility if I use ADF(Application Module, Entity Object and View Object) and[b] JSP for this application? Is there anybody who can help me for this? Or is there any alternative solution? Thanks..
