Create a PowerPoint file from ApEx using PL/SQL

Becky-ITApr 20 2017 — edited Apr 25 2017

My requirement is to create a 26 page PowerPoint Slide Show.  Each slide may contain 1 to n records.  If there are say, more than 9 records, it needs to spill over to the next slide.

Each slide will be the result of different queries (not one query over all the slides).

Database 11g on Linux

ApEx 4.2.6 (will be upgrading to 5.1 in the near future)

Powerpoint 2016

BIPublisher is NOT an option.

I have checked out OOXML_UTIL_PKG using this URL ORA-00001: Unique constraint violated: Working with Office 2007 (OOXML) files using PL/SQL

It only displays one record on one slide.

I have also checked out PPTX_CREATOR using this URL https://mk-commi.blogspot.com/2014/07/speaking-at-doag-2014.html

You can only use one query which displays one record per slide.

I have attempted to contact the authors and have not received a response.

I tried creating my one record as a Clob.  It didn't know how to handle it and could not create the .pptx.

BIPublisher is NOT an option due to cost.

Does anyone have any other solutions/ideas?

Thanks so much!

Becky
