crashes on hover over of taskbar icons

Hello,

I am using Oracle SQL Developer Release 3.0 (4.0.1.14.48) on Windows 7 64-bit. I have encountered a bug that makes the program unusable however -- whenever I hover over any of the icons on the top taskbar, the program freezes for about 5 seconds, and then closes with no error warnings. Has anybody else experienced this problem? I tried reinstalling with no avail.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
