With regard to your work as an architect or senior developer, what factors have created the need for you to make adjustments in 2016? Has cloud computing had a direct impact on your work? Mobile computing? The Internet of Things? These have been hot topics in 2016, but have they had a direct impact on your work this year? What other factors, technological or otherwise, have caused you to make course corrections in 2016?
With a bit more than three months left in 2016 those questions may seem a bit premature. But the deadline for my column in the November/December edition of Oracle Magazine is sneaking up on me. So here in early August I'm thinking in terms of the year's end.
