Could not install a software in XP installed in virtual box

I have been trying to install an old software in windows 7 for which i installed Xp in the virtual box 3.2.8
I feel I have allocated enough resources to the vBox 600 MB RAM, 10GB expandable hard disk, Virtual processor is just 1 I could not increase it, I am using i5 processor
I share the folders, make USB accessible from vBox and then tried installing both from USB and shared folder, but it is as if it was about to start installation but could not for various reasons--its gone after an initial blink. I still think may be it is some setting in the virtual box that needs to be fixed, might it be because I have not installed java run time and so in Vbox---
I am sharing the pic of the settings in vbox--please help me see if something needs to be done......

System Requirements with Image-Pro Plus 6.0
To install and work with Image-Pro Plus 6.0, you will need the following equipment and software:
�� Pentium III CPU, running at 1.0 Ghz or higher configured with Windows™
2000 (service pack 4), or Windows™ XP Professional (service pack 2)
�� A minimum of 512 MB of RAM ( 1 GB recommended)
�� 3 GB disk drive with available disk space for installation with additional

I bought a new computer with win 7 and it meets all the above requirement itself except for the OS.
Please see to it if you find any useful advice for me.
