Correction of Coordinate Orientation

399651Jul 22 2003 — edited Jan 22 2004
Hello Forum,

I have a question concerning the correction of the orientation of polygon coordinates in Oracle Spatial. We have loaded a dataset via FME to our 9i database (ver 9.2.0.1.0). After running the oracle validation tool SDO_GEOM.VALIDATE_GEOMETRY a number of these features have the status 13367 - invalid coordinate orientation. These features are a mixture of plain polygons and polygons with holes. From my reading of the documentation, the utility SDO_MIGRATE.TO_CURRENT should correct these features - this runs, but on completion the data is still the same.

The data has 4 digit etypes and gtypes.

Is SDO_MIGRATE.TO_CURRENT the right thing to run, or is there something else that I need to do first?

many thanks for all suggestions,
