Integration

Hi,

I'm new here and I may need to gather some more information for help with this problem. If some one can tell me what type of information would be helpful or suggest possible reasons for the problem it is much appreciated.

I work at a Help Desk for a small branch of a large corporation that uses Oracle web based applications.

Occasionally we have users who loose copy/past functionality. The oracle server is in Chicago IL and the office I work for is in Atlanta GA. Users access oracle applications through a web portal. We have branches is various locations across the US. To my knowledge the Home Office Help Desk has not found a sure fire solution to the problem. It only happens to a few random users although all the systems should be the same because all PC's use the same ghost image. Occasionally there is a connection problem but it is usually resolved by having the user delete the JCache files.

Things I have tried to resolve the issue:
updated JRE
cleared JCache
reinstalled JInitiator
reinstalled JScript

System Information:
OS: Windows XP Pro
Browser: IE7

I don't have the version number for the Oracle server but may be able to get it.

Is there a known issue that can cause some users to loose this functionality?

Do I need to gather more information?

Any suggestions are appreciated.
