Converting NULL Sum results to Zero (for calculation purposes - not display

Hi

Is there any way in Discoverer to convert sum amounts that result in NULL to 0 ?

I am not referring to replacing the null with 0 for presentation purposes.

I need to perform a calculation on the sum value. Discover just ignores the sum amount if it is null. I need to perform a calculation on the sum and I cannot seem to get it right. I've tried NVL and CASE IF NULL statements to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated.
