Convert WORD Document into PDF

Hi all,
I m trying to convert MS WORD (97-2002) files into PDF format. I have seen Jakarta POI and FOP. I tryed to use the "mock" converter distributed with POI but, he 's not working very well with complex documents.....
Have you ever tried to do this operation? If yes, how ?
Do you now any enterprise or OS project that distribute any kind of API which coould solve my problem ?
