convert timestamp to date

can some1 give me some idea on this...??

i need to find a record in my DB, which falls between sysdate and sysdate-30 .... but problem is...my date is stored in a timstamp format ...(the column data type is timestamp) ..

i tried a few queries...but failed...

can some1 throw some light??
