Convert function

Hi All,

I am getting following error when I use Convert function in 11g R2.

DEFINE TEMP_VAR VARIABLE NUMBER

TEMP_VAR = 12334556667.56

show convert(TEMP_VAR text 0 no)

ERROR: (ORA-34122) To convert NUMBER to TEXT or ID use:
CONVERT(expression ID [output-format])
