convert edifact-xml-db

hi,

i�m trying programm with pl/sql a converter which can copy data from a database into xml and from xml into edifact. an all these steps it should do from edifact to the database.

i know already how to read out of database into xml, but with the other parts i have some problems.

could anyone give me some hints or better: samplecode!
especially i need infos how to read out a textfile or edifactfile.

i have oracle 8i!!!!
