convert app to applet

Hello,

I've been trying for a very long time to convert a Java application into an applet so I can put it on the web.
The app is a FreeCell game and I use .gif files for the card images (with the Image class). I suspect that the reason it's not working is because I have to use URL class for images? But I'm not familiar with URL class...

What happens is the program runs and the output is screwed up - no card images and random parts of the screen are sort of erased, or nothing appears at all....

Any ideas?
