Convergence behind a load balancer

807574Sep 28 2009 — edited Feb 10 2020
Hello,

I'm having hard times trying to put an F5 LTM load balancer in front of a convergence server. The test setup is this simple: convergence is installed on a x86 Solaris 10 (vmware virtual host), mshttpd is running on the same host. When I configure F5 to do just NAT everything seems to work just OK. (url on the browser is https://converge.utu.fi:38181/iwc) But, if put a virtual server on F5 on port 443, GUI just breaks. I put a screenshot here: [Convergence screen capture|http://users.utu.fi/eino/convergence_capture.png]. What's even more interesting is that the GUI breaks up differenly between logins... I've tried to give different ports and host (real host / vip host) names when installing convergence, but to no avail.

What am I doing wrong? Is there a thorough guide how to put a hardware load balancer in front of Appserver / Convergence?
