Control file size

Hi Gurus,

Is there any permissible size that a control file should attain to?? My control file is 28 MB, I am taking RMAN backup for the database,my db size is around 150 GB,and the number of archives getting generated are 30 GB everyday. Is there any caution of worry if the control file size keeps on increasing. Please advise.

P.S -- I cant create a catalog due to infrastructure issues and my control_file_record_keep_time parameter=7. My db version is 10.2.0.4 and OS version is windows 200 (edited to add versions)
